Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a short message from Dr Groom

This October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr Groom shares her own personal experience with breast cancer — from diagnosis and treatment, to recovery and the profound shift in perspective it has brought to both her personal and professional life.

Breast Cancer, Signs and Symptoms

Knowing what to look for — including lumps, skin changes, nipple changes, or swelling in the armpit — and performing regular self-exams can make a real difference in catching any issues early.
If you notice any unusual changes, don’t delay in speaking to a healthcare professional.
