At The Grosvenor Practice, we believe in preventative medicine. Our health screening gives you a clear, detailed picture of your health helping identify risk factors early and supporting long-term wellbeing.
Your screening may assess common concerns including high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, respiratory disease, vitamin deficiencies, thyroid problems, prostate health, liver and kidney function, bone health and cardiovascular risk.
For patients wanting a more in-depth cancer screen, the TruCheck Intelli blood test is available as an additional option alongside our Well Person Check.
We will take time to discuss any symptoms, worries or health questions that are important to you.

A detailed review delivered across two dedicated 30-minute appointments with one of our experienced GPs, and everything you need in between.
A detailed clinical assessment, examination and a range of tests tailored to you. 45 minutes with your GP.
Once your results are in, we’ll book a separate 30-minute consultation, with time to review your results.
Additional blood tests can be arranged where appropriate. These may incur an additional charge and will be discussed with you in advance.
A home testing kit provided during your appointment. It checks for microscopic traces of blood in the stool, which can be an early sign of bowel problems including bowel cancer. You complete the test at home and return it to the laboratory in a pre-paid envelope.
Every Well Person Check covers a broad set of investigations as standard
Your initial appointment includes a comprehensive review of your health, incorporating appropriate tests and examinations.
Additional blood tests can be arranged where appropriate. These may incur an additional charge and will be discussed with you in advance.
Depending on your results or history, your GP may recommend further investigations.
Anything additional is always discussed and agreed in advance.
Where appropriate, we can discuss advanced private cancer screening blood tests as part of your health screening consultation.
These tests are designed to look for cancer-associated signals in the blood, such as circulating tumour cells, which may be associated with certain solid-organ cancers.
They are intended for people without symptoms who are looking for an additional layer of screening beyond standard health checks.
The main option we discuss. A comprehensive panel designed to screen for a broad range of solid tumours, intended for people without current symptoms.
More focused panels may also be available in some circumstances:
A positive result does not mean that you definitely have cancer, and a negative result does not completely rule cancer out.
Any abnormal result would need to be followed up with appropriate diagnostic investigations, such as imaging, endoscopy or specialist referral.
These tests are not currently part of routine NICE-recommended NHS cancer screening, and do not replace programmes such as bowel, breast or cervical screening.
They also do not replace medical assessment for symptoms that could suggest cancer.
Before arranging this type of test, one of our doctors will discuss the potential benefits, limitations, false positives, false negatives, possible anxiety, and the likely follow-up pathway if a cancer signal is detected.
Testing is only arranged where it is clinically appropriate, and where there is a clear plan for reviewing and acting on the result.
If you are experiencing symptoms that concern you, please book a GP appointment rather than relying on a screening blood test.
Your Well Person Check includes a 30-minute initial assessment, a separate 30-minute comprehensive review, included investigations and a personalised written report.
Additional investigations, specialist tests, imaging, prescriptions or referrals may incur further charges. These will be discussed with you in advance.
Our Health Plans include unlimited GP appointments, repeat prescriptions and specialist referrals, from £45 a month.
Health screening investigations are charged separately.
